Human Interest Stories

The boy, whose ordeal mirrors that of the character Mowgli from Rudyard Kipling The Jungle Book, was discovered by police in Misiones, in Argentina, surrounded by eight wild cats.

Doctors believe the animals snuggled up with him during freezing nights which would otherwise have killed him.

The boy was seen eating scraps foraged by the animals while they licked him, it has been claimed.

Policewoman Alicia Lorena Lindgvist discovered the child by a canal in the Christ King district of the city.

She said: "I was walking and noticed a gang of cats sitting very close together. It is unusual to see so many like that so I went for a closer look and that's where I saw him. The boy was lying at the bottom of a gutter. There were all these cats on top of him licking him because he was really dirty.

"When I walked over they became really protective and spat at me. They were keeping the boy warm while he slept."

Police have found the boy's father who is homeless and said he had lost the boy several days ago while out collecting cardboard to sell. He told officers cats had always been protective of his son.

Alphabet Story

A long, long time ago there was a beautiful castle in a far away place where a beautiful princess lived. But  it wasn't as beautiful on the inside as it would appear at first glance. Charisma was her name and although she was beautiful she carried a dark, dark secret that only a close few knew about. Deep, dark secrets and old paths that were supposed to be laid to rest long ago make life interesting, or so they say. Everything happens for a reason, right? For some of us though this is not the case, some things are better left unsaid or should I say "un-opened", everyone has a story to tell and the way this story comes out is not always how we would like or how we would plan for it to come out, and for Charisma it was no different. "GOAL!!!!!" Shouted the referee of the Homecoming game for West Chester High in Sacramento, California no 0ne had seen this victory coming for the West Chester wildcats as the last seconds ticked away on the clock the crowd went wild, the wildcats were currently in a three game loosing streak and things weren't looking too good for playoffs, after loosing such big rivalry games. "Hey girls come on let's get them out of their seats!!!"-says head cheerleader, Charisma Christopher. Iintelligence, beauty, athleticism, and the last name to match; Charisma Christopher was the picture of perfection or so it seemed from the outside looking in with a family of gold and the personality to match. Jordan Hoffman, the star quarterback with an equally as impressive resume under his-very expensive Armani belt (Jordan's daddy was a big wig lawyer who was only there on the weekends but his credit card was there all the time) and he was supposed to be "pulling some strings" so Jordan would be able to walk on at Stanford in the upcoming fall to further his dream Football career that was supposed to insure a very bright future. Kim Blackstone was not only co-captain of the cheerleading squad but also Charisma's best friend, and all too soon would everyone find out that sometimes not even the best of friends knows everything about you. Lately things had become a little strained around Charisma's house, but it's to be expected when something as dark had been going on in your family for so many years; And with Charisma's pearly whites shining  bright and golden hair flowing long know one would ever be the wiser. Many would say that she was as close to flawless as a human being could get, well many except for her aunt who years earlier had forever affected her life by putting a dyer curse on her many years earlier but the catch was that the curse wouldn't actually come into play until her eighteenth birthday which happened to be in only two short weeks. Now not only would her flawless image and perfect reputation but her world as she knows it will never be the same. Or her other option is going back to where the curse was originally started so many years earlier; You see the curse started when Charisma was eighteen years old and one day all of her aunt's jealousy and harsh feelings came to the surface only to have dyer consequences that no one could have expected and put a curse on her that she would stay "young" forever but at the same time be aging inside and when she reached the age eighteen in the year of 2020 she would go back to her age that she is supposed to be without so much as a whisper of good bye. Penelope was her aunt and she had always been very jealous of Charisma because years earlier when Penelope and Charisma's mother (Randa), were young girls Penelope was never as pretty as Randa or as talented or had as many friends, even though she was supposed to be the big sister; So when Penelope was finally old enough she found that she actually was a witch and had powers she had never known she had. A Quilt had been made for Charisma's mother when she turned eighteen that she would give to her daughter whenever she turned two yerars old that was supposed to have a special effect that in fact would help her stay looking young, well this got Penelope thinking that if some how she could get a curse put on Charisma's blanket that she would be getting whenever she turned two years old. Randa not knowing what Penelope had done, gave her toddler the beloved blanket and from that moment on Charisma's life would never be the same. Somethings in life happen for a reason and somethings are just a twist of bad fate and it all depends on how you take them and run with them, so we say, but it always seems that we say those words when everything is going good. This day however, started off like any other day for Charisma who had at one time been living what seemed to be a fairly tale, although she knew this day was coming and had for a very long time nothing can really prepare you for something like this. A Unified front was important to present in front of her aunt, so the fact that Charisma and her mother weren't on "good terms" so to speak really this could instate a problem, so Charisma didn't have much time to make up with her mother. Very, very cold mornings seem to be the way most stories like this all seem to start and this one is no different. Without much ado it was the evening before Charisma's eighteenth birthday and tensions were high to say the least, everyone knew what was going to happen the next day and that's a hard thing to swallow. eXtremely paranoid nerves seemed to wash over her and she began to feel very light headed and faint. You can never really prepare yourself for something like this until it actually happens to you, and Charisma didn't know how this one was going to turn out. The Zest in the air was almost to much to be able to stand, just knowing that at any moment your life will be different forever.
